Yesterday marked the 100th person to sign up for Atlanta LAN Fest. Since then we have got a lot more sponsors lined up along with things going on at the event. First off some exciting news from Intel, they are coming down from California with a Camera crew to film our event and to give away some Quad-Core bundles. Also we have some giveaways from Computer ArenA and Giga-bites Café. We have decided that both the Call of Duty : 4 and the Counter Strike : Source tournaments will be BYOC and will be enforced by anti-cheat.exe and Source TV and the PAM Mod in Call of Duty 4. Also we will be having a small Warcraft III tournament and possibly a Starcraft tournament if anyone is interested. There will be prizes given out for those tournaments as well. We have locked in our final rates for entry. To prepay for a 3-Day pass it will be $55 dollars, and at the door will be $65. If you would just like to come for Saturday it will be $35. Detail about the passes can be found here. Prepay will be open very soon, we are trying to finish up with all of our legal matters before we start accepting payments. Waivers will also be up in the next week so you can get those signed, you can’t get in without one. If you have any questions please feel free to post on the forums or go to our contact us page. |

Hey guys we have a lot of new information for you in this update. The last couple of weeks have been very productive. CPU Magazine has signed on to sponsor our event and Comcast is trying to get us a fat pipe for a high speed internet solution so we can have internet at the event. We also have been in talks with major pc vendors for prizes and swag. Currently we are looking at some possible QUAD-CORE BUNDLES, RAM, Video Cards, T-Shirts, Cash Money, and many other giveaways. The tournaments are also shaping up quite a bit. Currently we have established a Call of Duty 4 , Counter Strike : Source, and a couple of free for all tournaments for people who don’t have a team. We do have some other possible tournaments that you can post about on the forums. Another important thing is signups. We have been doing pretty good recently with new signups but we need much more. The more people we get signed up and come to the event the more prizes and giveaways we can give out and the more exciting it will be. As far as prices for the event go we have almost settled on $50 dollars prepay (3 Day Pass) , $60 dollars at the door(3 Day Pass) , $35 Tournament Pass (1 Day not including tournament fee), or a spectators pass for $5 a day. Also I have had many emails for people who want to help out at the event. We may need a few extra hands at the event so if you are interested please email me, but the best way to help out is to tell people about our event. We are looking into starting an incentive program to get people to have their friends sign up , but check back on the forums to hear more details on that. Last but not least we are looking to put up some game servers to let people play on and get to know each other before the event, so keep up to date on that as well |
